I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! We run so that we can eat ice cream. (And if you deny this truth, you are so lying.) There are many different types and flavors of ice cream, similar to the different types and flavors of runners. I’ve taken the liberty of comparing the two, and the results are delicious:

1. Vanilla:

This classic flavor is the choice of the basic neighborhood runner who may register for a local 5K every so often.

2. Moose Tracks:

The cross-country runners who muck through the fudgy, muddy course treat themselves with this favorite.

3. Chunky Monkey:

People who have taken up running to achieve their weight loss goals go bananas over this flavor.

4. Rocky Road:

This classic is a trail runner’s delight because you never know what you are going to find in the next spoonful, like how you never know what lies ahead on the path.

5. Cherry Garcia:

Costumed participants in themed races enjoy this euphoric tribute.

6. Coffee Fro-Yo:

Full of flavor and low in fat, this option is ideal for the stroller running moms who want to lose that baby weight. The caffeine provides the extra bit of energy these mommies need to take care of their bambinos.

7. Half Baked:

Half marathoners indulge in this gooey goodness – no explanation needed.

8. Mint Chocolate Chip:

The marathoners who are in “mint condition” from many miles of training satisfy their sweet tooth with this treat after a Sunday long run.

9. Strawberry Slow Churned:

This flavor is representative of the ultramarathoners, who churn out way too many slow miles and will eat almost anything they encounter in the wilderness.

10. Blue Moon:

This mysterious option is for the night runners, who stealthily crank out miles under a midnight sky.

11. Neapolitan:

With its trifecta of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, this favorite is perfect for those who are entering the triathlon realm.

Which flavor of runner are you?
